Realme unveiled the new 14x smartphone today, powered by the MediaTek 6300 chipset. This device is the international version of the China-bound Realme V60 Pro, featuring a striking Red paint job as its hero colour.
Specifications Of Realme 14x
The Realme 14x features a 6.67-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a punch-hole design to house the 8MP selfie camera.
The 14x is equipped with two rear cameras, including a 50MP OmniVision sensor as the main camera. The second sensor is an auxiliary one, which doesn’t significantly contribute to photo quality.
The 14x is powered by the Dimensity 6300 chipset. Unlike the China variant, this version offers options of 6GB or 8GB of RAM, both paired with 128GB of storage.
The 14x is IP68 and IP69-certified, and it has passed MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability tests. Additionally, it features a SonicWave Water Ejection function that allows you to expel water from the loudspeaker chamber after submerging the phone underwater.
The 14x has a slim profile of under 8mm while housing a 6,000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC wired charging support. The company claims the battery can retain 80% of its charge over four years, equivalent to approximately 1,600 full charging cycles. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging.
The 14x supports two nano SIM cards and includes a tray with space for a microSD card. It runs on Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 on top, and the company has promised two generations of Android updates and 36 months of Realme UI updates.
The Realme 14x is available in three color options: Jewel Red, Crystal Black, and Golden Glow. It is priced at INR 14,999 ($175/€170) for the base variant and INR 15,999 ($190/€180) for the higher variant. The phone is already available for purchase on Flipkart, Realme.com, and select offline stores.
