Samsung Galaxy A16 5g !!!
Introduction:
The new Galaxy A16 5G isn’t the cheapest option in Samsung’s lineup, but it comes close. As a result, it relies on budget-grade hardware, which means some compromises were necessary. Our goal is to identify any potential shortcomings or deal breakers and determine whether the phone is worth considering.
Before diving into the review, it’s important to note that we are focusing on the 5G model of the Galaxy A16. Our findings may not apply to the regular Galaxy A16 4G model, as it features a different chipset.
The Galaxy A16 5G finds itself in a unique position, as it is available with either a Samsung Exynos 1330 or a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, depending on the market. While we have already tested the Exynos 1330 in the Galaxy A14 5G, we haven’t had a chance to review any devices with the Dimensity 6300. This is unfortunate, as it means we cannot provide a direct comparison between the two chipsets.
Our review unit of the Galaxy A16 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 chip. We have the base model with 128GB of storage, which thankfully includes expandable storage options. However, the 4GB of RAM raises concerns about future-proofing.

Unboxing:
The Galaxy A16 5G is packaged in a rather unremarkable two-piece cardboard box, primarily white in color. While the box feels a bit flimsy, it adequately protected the device during shipping. Notably, there is no plastic used in the packaging, which is a positive step from an ecological perspective. Additionally, all the printing is done with soy ink.
In line with current trends, the Galaxy A16 5G comes with minimal accessories. The box includes only a basic 3A white USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a SIM ejector tool. There is no charger or case included.
