Samsung Is Selling Bluetooth S Pen For Galaxy S25 Ultra At 50$.

The launch of the Galaxy S25 series was seen as underwhelming, with many feeling the new phones don’t offer anything particularly innovative. The Galaxy S25 Ultra, in particular, has drawn some criticism for removing Bluetooth connectivity from the S Pen. However, it seems this change only applies to the stylus that comes bundled with the phone, not to other S Pens that may be used with it.

Samsung confirmed last week that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would not feature Bluetooth support, confirming earlier rumors. Bluetooth functionality was introduced to the S Pen with the 2018 Galaxy Note 9, enabling features like remote control and gesture controls.

Samsung explained that less than 1 percent of S Pen users utilized Bluetooth-powered features, which is why they decided to remove them. Additionally, a rumor suggested that Qi2 support might not have been compatible with Bluetooth functionality, possibly influencing the decision.

Those rumors, and possibly even Samsung’s previous claim, have now been debunked. As noted by Notebookcheck, a Samsung blog reveals that the company is selling a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The separately sold S Pen will still function as a remote control and likely retain gesture capabilities. It’s currently available on Amazon UK for £40.83 (~$50.83).

Samsung had claimed that removing Bluetooth functionality would help reduce costs, but the phone didn’t become any cheaper as a result. Now, with the Bluetooth S Pen priced at $50, it’s likely to frustrate Samsung fans, especially considering the backlash against the latest releases. It seems like this decision might not be well-received.

Of course, there’s still a slim chance that the Bluetooth S Pen doesn’t actually exist, and the details found on the blog and Amazon could simply be placeholder information that wasn’t properly updated. Only time will tell if this turns out to be the case.

This has sparked theories that Samsung may have removed the Bluetooth functionality to encourage users to buy other accessories, like the Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring, which offer remote control features. Hopefully, Samsung will provide some clarity soon to clear up the confusion and address these speculations.
