Sony has begun rolling out the Android 15 update to the Xperia 5 V, following its recent release for the Xperia 1 V.
Reports on Reddit indicate that users are receiving the update notification, which is a 1GB download. After installation, the device will be on software version 67.2.A.2.41.

The Android 15 update for the Xperia 5 V introduces several new features:
- Private Space: This feature allows you to keep apps in a separate space within the app drawer, secured behind a lock.
- A color contrast setting for the Home screen is now available.
- A new way to customize the lock screen clock has been added.
- Side Sense now includes a Dashboard function, allowing you to quickly adjust or check the status of your most used settings.
- Both the Quick Settings and notification panels have been redesigned.
- You can now take a screenshot directly from Quick Settings.
- Changes have been made to how pop-up windows function, along with other minor updates.
As is typical with software rollouts, the Android 15 update for the Xperia 5 V is expected to be staggered. It may take several days, or even weeks, for the update to reach all Xperia 5 V units globally.
